AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey felicitates Sunil Chhetri after Kuwait game

"Presently, 19 years and 151 Global covers later, as you have chosen to enter another life post-worldwide football today, we remain solidly held by wistfulness. You have made us inexpressibly pleased with remarkable feelings that we will impart to our loved ones until our last days. With your large number of fans, we will miss your incredible deeds on the field. Have confidence, your dazzling abilities, your invigorating administration, and your modesty will always be important for Indian Football's legends. Much obliged to you for all that you have achieved and best of luck with all that you will do from now on," it added.

Chhetri talked momentarily, saying: "To every one of my allies, I thank every one of you. These 19 years could never have been conceivable without every last one of you. I really would not joke about this. Every one of you who are here, thank you kindly. I will talk from my heart, every one of you have been perfect. Remain blissful, and thank you once more."

The Indian chief was additionally congratulated by the Indian Football Affiliation, Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, Mohammedan Donning, the Indian Armed force and senior clergymen of the Public authority of West Bengal.
